Background:
  China has one great resource unmatched by any other nation on earth.  A population in the billions.  Early after the first eruptions the Chinese army sought to force the eruption of hundreds of novas by putting soldiers in mortal situations.  These 'Inner Human Potential Camps' killed thousands of soldiers to produce a handfull of novas.  Gao Li was one of those novas.
    Once this handful of novas had been produced from the deaths of so many, the Chinese army realized that they would have to kill millions in order to obtain enough novas for a 'Chinese National Nova Army'.  Many of them from the civilian population and with no guarantee of their loyalty.  Of the five novas produced by the original program four joined the National Chinese Nova Team while Gao Li was seconded to The Directive as China's nova contribution.

Roleplaying Notes:  Gao Li regularly gets involved in the fights of novas that are insanely more powerful than he is.  He does manage to survive but usually gets his butt kicked seven ways to sunday in the process.
    Gao Li was trained by Master Pan the famous Hong Kong nova martial arts master.  His powers are very traditional and adaptable.  His many powers are techniques of his martial arts.  For example his Invulnerability has to be activated as do his Claws and Intuition.  He can deactivate all his powers at will either indivdually or all at once.  This makes him more 'human' than other novas.  If taken by surprise he's very vulnerable, which is why he is a little paranoid.

    Crushing Blow  - A weaker version of Crush, Crushing Blow adds three dice of damage to any hand to hand attacks of the Mega Martial Arts Master.  This Demi Enhancement stays active for one attack.

    Power Block  - With this Demi Enhancement the Mega Martial Artist can apply his normal hand to hand damage to any incoming attack.  In the case where the attack originates from the body of another opponent the damage is applied normally to his soak.  If the attack is from a weapon that weapon takes damage from the attack and if it breaks does no damage to the martial artist.  This Demi Enhancement is useless against energy attacks except where the energy is projected Kinetic force.  All other rules for a block apply. In no way does this Demi Enhancement reduce the damage from the attack blocked further than it already be reduced for a normal Block.  This Demi Enhancement remains active for one block.
